Annual Summer Service Day

Organizations and individuals who would like to participate in giving back are asked to join us for a one day, kick-off to summer work party. Modeled after the ‘old-fashioned barn raising’, we will come together in the spirit of fun and community for a common purpose and goal. The plan will be to have projects of various skill levels set up throughout the Fairgrounds where volunteers can break into groups and, under the leadership of our staff and board, work on items such as painting, landscaping, cleaning and organizing, repairing props, assembling facades, etc. In appreciation of these efforts, the Fairgrounds will host a mid-day barbecue celebration, complete with lunch and beverages. There will also be visits from The Community Library Network Book-Mobile, the North Idaho State Fair Mascot "Bucky", and fun kiddie carnival games! Pre-registration is required for this event.
