National Night Out is coming to the Kootenai County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 PM! Join the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, alongside local law enforcement, fire, EMS, and public safety agencies, for this free, family-friendly event celebrating the partnerships that help keep our community safe.
Meet your local first responders, explore emergency vehicles and specialized equipment, enjoy live demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities for all ages. Highlights include K9 demonstrations, a Jaws of Life rescue demonstration, SWAT and Fire combat challenges, emergency response vehicles, face painting, a dunk tank, pizza eating challenge, live entertainment, and community resource booths.
Free food and drinks, sponsored by the Fernan Rod & Gun Club and served by the KCSO VSAR team, will be available while supplies last.
Whether you're interested in learning more about public safety or simply looking for a fun evening with the family, National Night Out offers something for everyone. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
