The North Idaho Fair & Rodeo Foundation is proud to celebrate a milestone years in the making—the establishment of its Endowment Fund, now exceeding $358,000.
What began as a vision at the Foundation’s inception has grown into a lasting investment in the future of the North Idaho State Fair and the community it serves. Under the leadership of past president Mary LuAnn Larson, this dream took shape and gained momentum. As she shared, “Creating and funding this Endowment has been a dream of the Fair Foundation since its inception.”
That vision was carried forward through the dedication and persistence of both past and present board members, including Dave Paul, Dave Nussear, Kevin Kirking, Katie Bane, and Mary LuAnn Larson, whose collective commitment turned aspiration into achievement. The Foundation is also grateful for the professional guidance of Dave Holloway with Northern Capital Management, who helped steward this effort with care and expertise.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the late Barbara and Harlan Renner, whose generosity and belief in this mission played a pivotal role in making the Endowment possible. Their legacy will continue to support and strengthen the fairgrounds for generations to come.
Today, this Endowment stands not only as a financial milestone, but as a testament to the visionaries who started it and the leaders who continue to move it forward—ensuring that the North Idaho State Fair remains a place where community, tradition, and opportunity thrive.
